Bob Baisch, President of The Medina Rotary Club, welcomed 70 representatives of the Medina County clergy, service clubs, military, and special guests to the 2018 Medina County Service Clubs' Good Friday Prayer Breakfast held at Rustic Hills Country Club.

Following the Pledge of Allegiance and Invocation by special guest Medina Mayor Dennis Hanwell, the 70 strong voices were led in song by soloist Kimberly States with the piano accompaniment of Medina County Treasurer John Burke.

Guest speaker Rev. David Ambrose, Lead Pastor of the Medina Heartland Community Church, began his Good Friday message with a thoughtful recitation of the Passion Narrative of Jesus Christ. "God, is not angry with us," assured Pastor Ambrose. In His goodness, God does not desire our sacrifices. He gave us his son, Jesus Christ, who went, out of love for the Father, to the cross as the ultimate sacrifice to show us how much God loved us. Jesus came to change our minds and our hearts about God's love for all of us and that is why today is Good Friday".

Brian Feron, who presided on behalf of this year's host club Medina Rotary, thanked Mayor Dennis Hanwell, Father Thom Kowatch of St. Francis Xavier Church for providing the Good Friday banner, Pastor David Ambrose of Heartland Community Church, Pastor Jermaine McNeil of Connection Church, U.S. Military Chaplain Dr. Reid Miller, soloist Kimberly States, pianist John Burke, SFC Steve Callahan of the Ohio National Guard, Past Kiwanis International President Alan Penn, Past Rotary District Governors Jack Young and Dr. Michael Davanzo, and the 11 Medina service clubs in attendance for our 2018 Good Friday Prayer Breakfast.

Following a traditional Good Friday song, "The Old Rugged Cross", Bob Baisch thanked everyone for their service and concluded by wishing everyone a Happy Easter!
