JOHN REYES PRESENTS ROTARY DISTRICT YOUTH PROTECTION PROGRAM

John Reyes, Past Rotary District Governor 6630, and honored guest of Medina Sunrise Rotary, presented a timely introduction to the Rotary District Youth Protection Program. "Rotary District 6630 strives to create and maintain a safe environment for all youth who participate in Rotary activities," stated Reyes. "To the best of their abilities, Rotarians, Rotarians’ spouses and partners, and other volunteers must safeguard the children and young people they come in contact with and protect them from physical, sexual, and psychological abuse."

Strong support and effective management of youth programs required throughout our district are essential to ensuring that all youth protection policies, including RI policies, and local laws and regulations, are followed. All district, club-level volunteers and program officers must understand Rotary and district policies and communicate all youth protection concerns to district leaders and/or local clubs.

Rotary believes in developing the next generation of leaders. Our programs help younger leaders build leadership skills, expand education and learn the value of service.
How can you get involved?

All of our youth programs are connected to a Rotary club. To get involved, contact the Rotary club in your area.
