WINE & ROSES BENEFIT DINNER AND AUCTION RAISES FUNDS FOR MEDINA YOUTH

Medina Sunrise Rotary hosted its 14th Annual Wine & Roses Benefit Dinner Dance and Auction at Weymouth Country Club on Saturday night to support the club's mission, "Committed to making a difference in the lives of children in our community and beyond through our time, talents and treasures," announced Rotary club president Vance Truman. "We we are grateful for our generous sponsors and contributors, and welcome all our guests and this year's two major charities -- The Children's Center of Medina County and Feeding Medina County."

The nearly 300 who were in attendance at one of Medina's most elegant annual charity events were treated to a patriotic opening ceremony from the U.S. Navy Color Guard sent by the Navy Operational Support Center in Akron, a cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres, a 3-course gourmet meal with select wines, music and dancing by Midnight Blue, silent & live auction items, a raffle, and everyone received delicious McJak Candy Company fudge and a beautiful long-stemmed red rose.

Becky Shotwell, president of Stop n' Go, one of the three major event sponsors, which included Medina Auto Parts/Carquest and RICO Manufacturing, said "This was a wonderful evening of coming together as friends to help others in our own community. Medina is a special place and without all of you and your generosity, this evening would not have been possible.Image"
