Medina Sunrise Rotary hosted two very special speakers this morning.

Our first speaker was Liz Hoffmann. Liz, who is from Medina, spoke of her experience as a Rotary Youth Exchange Student when she was a junior in High School and went to Japan. She shared that she had a wonderful experience and that it changed not just her career aspirations but also the trajectory of her life. Liz then presented Medina Sunrise Rotary with a banner from the Odawara, North Japan Rotary Club.

Our second speaker was Jessica Miles from the Medina County Health Department, who shared about the Medina County Medical Reserve Corps. The Medical Reserve Corps was created in response to 9/11 and is a network in the U.S. of community-based units initiated and established by local organizations aimed at meeting the public health needs of their communities. The Medina County Health Department offers a variety of volunteer opportunities through the Medina County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC). Anyone can volunteer. Those who are interested in volunteering with MRC can apply.

Thank you to Liz and Jessica for coming to our meeting!
