Tina Sabol, Community Engagement Manager of the Medina County District Library, outlined the Library's mission statement to Medina Sunrise Rotary:
"Outstanding and Innovative Library Services for All." -- Our broad and inclusive mission is to enrich the lives and serve the needs of all in our community.
Sabol offered a "show and tell" to the Rotary group, explaining the many new services that developed out of necessity due to the pandemic, and how many are here to stay. She mentioned the concerns of parents and caregivers about "Pandemic Babies" and the socialization and active play with peers our youngest library patrons missed out on, during a time of incredible brain development". She mentioned many ways the library is offering early literacy education and events and storytimes for eager families.
In closing, Tina thanked Medina Sunrise Rotary and reminded us of the value of continued community partnerships as MCDL invites its members and everyone to participate in the upcoming strategic plan.
