Megan Vogelgesang from Medina High School just returned from an exciting and life changing year in Mexico as a Rotary Youth Exchange Student. "Megan was selected to become a youth ambassador," said Rotary Youth Exchange Counselor Kevin Wermer of the Medina Sunrise Rotary Club. "She excelled in teaching people she met about her country, culture, family and ideas, while growing in appreciation for the care and values of her host families, school and the country of Mexico itself. Young people, like Megan, help bring the world closer – and make some wonderful friends in the process!" Thank you Rotary!

For almost 100 years, students and host families have broadened their horizons through Rotary Youth Exchange's year of adventure, fully accredited by CSIET - Council on Standards for International Educational Travel. More than 80 countries and over 8,000 students each year participate in the program, which is administered at the regional level by Rotary districts under the supervision of a U.S. Department of State Regional Coordinator and at the local level by Rotary clubs. Medina Sunrise Rotary is proud of having safely and successfully prepared and sponsored 30 high schools students in its 25 years of service.
