"CUPS Café, located just north of Medina Public Square, is a 501 (c) 3 evangelical Christian ministry which opened its doors in November of 2007 during the Medina Annual Candlelight Walk," said Rev. Tim Van Arsdale.. Actively supported by 15 local churches, and embracing all denominations, CUPS is grateful for its 55 volunteers, over 150  community donors and the generosity of the City of Medina.  It's original mission of serving 12 to 25 year-olds has grown considerably through the years and now welcomes the elderly, low income, children at risk, and homeless. Rev. Tim thanked Medina Sunrise Rotary President Dr. Shail Jain and fellow Rotarians for their generosity and sharing the mission of making a difference in the lives of children in our community.

Past President Roger Hassler reminded the club that Rev. Tim Van Arsdale, of CUPS Café in Medina, was honored by Medina Sunrise Rotary in 2016 with the prestigious Paul Harris Fellow Award. This award, named after Rotary founder Paul Harris, recognized Tim's decade of service to his community, having a positive impact in the lives of children, and in appreciation of tangible and significant assistance given for the furtherance of better understanding and friendly relations among peoples of the world
