Healing Hoofs is a faith-based, not-for-profit charitable organization which mentors young people,"  said Deputy Bob Alderman, who along with his wife, Sharon, incorporated their Seville-based 501(c)3 company just over one year ago.

We bring together rescue horses with young people who have special needs, to find compassion, empathy, connection and purpose.  In a safe, trusting environment, Healing Hoofs helps young people learn to grow beyond bullying, neglect, abuse and depression. Here they will learn new skills, a sense of self-respect and responsibility, and how to bond with others.

"Healing Hoofs has established many partners and we are quickly growing in our community," Sharon added. "We are already planning a larger facility to offer year-round services to more children in our care.  Be sure to look for the coming announcement of our June 23rd Healing Hoofs fundraiser. You are all invited to help keep this program free to the children of Medina County."
