Healing Hoofs is a faith-based, not-for-profit charitable organization which mentors young people," said Deputy Bob Alderman, who along with his wife, Sharon, incorporated their Seville-based 501(c)3 company just over one year ago.
We bring together rescue horses with young people who have special needs, to find compassion, empathy, connection and purpose. In a safe, trusting environment, Healing Hoofs helps young people learn to grow beyond bullying, neglect, abuse and depression. Here they will learn new skills, a sense of self-respect and responsibility, and how to bond with others.
"Healing Hoofs has established many partners and we are quickly growing in our community," Sharon added. "We are already planning a larger facility to offer year-round services to more children in our care. Be sure to look for the coming announcement of our June 23rd Healing Hoofs fundraiser.
