Sandy Hinkle,  Executive Director of FEEDING MEDINA COUNTY, along with her FMC colleagues Melody Costello and Dan Meagher, gave a warm welcome to all volunteers who arrived early on a busy Monday evening to attend the annual FMC Volunteer Recognition Dinner. "Thank you is never quite enough to show our appreciation for the 5,000 volunteer hours you have given to us this past year. We would not be able to accomplish our mission without you: Kiwanis & Rotary, Girl Scouts, Medina Christian Academy, St. Francis Xavier School, Sandridge Foods, Job & Family Services, CSEA, the Army, Navy, and all our wonderful Veterans and individual volunteers. You are our truckers, sorters, distributors, packers, gardeners, cleaners, transporters, fundraisers, and angels."

Feeding Medina County's mission is to educate, engage and lead our community in creating an environment where no one goes hungry. We nourish our community with essential programs that put food on the table for children, families and seniors who are at risk of hunger. Feeding Medina County is 501(c)(3) non-profit organization helping to feed families in need in Medina County. We run several programs including delivering food from the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank to local food pantries and distributing food to needy children, families, and seniors here in Medina County. This past year, FMC's outreach has included:over 32,700 meals for school children and 3,000 meals for seniors. Did you know that our garden provided 3,000 lbs. of organically grown produce and our busy beehives 31 lbs. of honey?  We have also established food pantries within 5  Medina County school districts and reach many students through the Medina County District Library's healthy snacks program.

Again, thank you to our volunteers and thank you Medina!
